September 30th Meeting Notice

DESCRIPTION:

Dr. Robin Cleveland and Dr. Allan Pierce will present an overview of the current research projects in acoustics research that are carried out at Boston University.  The acoustics group in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering is one of the largest in the country. There will be a diverse range of topics covered including: underwater acoustics, biomedical ultrasound imaging, therapeutic uses of ultrasound, MEMS based hydrophones, the interaction of light and sound, aeroacoustics, and structural vibrations.
