The joint meeting of the GBC-ASA and Boston AES will feature guest speakers, Roger DuNaier of Performance Devices and Evert Start from Duran Audio.
The topic of discussion will be an overview of basic line array theory and digital directivity control (DDC). We will also feature a tour and demonstration of the recently installed line array system at Arlington Street Church (ASC).
The presentation will explain the basics of array theory, including several subjects such as interference, near field versus far field, frequency/size dependence and others. The DDC technology, which is used in the Axys, Intellivox series of Duran Audio is explained in detail and will be illustrated with several practical design examples.
