zAcoustical Society of America

Greater Boston Chapter
November 13th Meeting Notice

TOPIC:

DESCRIPTION:

The GBC-ASA meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November, 13, 2001 will feature an overview and tour of the Boston University Photonics Building. Gregory Tocci, the project's principal acoustical consultant will take us on a listening tour of the facility and discuss the major consulting tasks involved with this building.

Acoustical issues considered in design included vibration, traffic noise isolation and emergency generator noise control. The BU Photonics building is built on a very noisy site in the heart of Boston and houses some of the most sound and vibration sensitive laboratory equipment in use today.

We will gather outside the front door located at 8 St. Mary's Street, at 7:00 PM
